OOTD: Casual Canary Tweed || Spotlight Eatery: Spread

Hello Everyone!

Today's post is a very casual OOTD that I wore during a leisurely weekend outing with Des. Des is a huge basketball fan, so we decided to go to downtown Campbell to grab some lunch and watch the Warriors Vs. Clippers game. The day was quite breezy, so pardon the pictures where my hair is all over my face...:) Also, our lunch spot will be revealed in the Spotlight Eatery section below. :)

My whole outfit revolved around this beautiful structured, yet loose fitting, neon/canary yellow tweed-front shirt. I wanted to bring out the chanel-esque flavor the tweed provided with capped leather flats and subtle jewelry. To add a bit more color, I paired a dark maroon leather purse with the outfit.

Spotlight Eatery: Spread
*Spotlight eatery will feature short informational blurbs & delicious pictures of some of my recent eats!*

Spread is a gourmet sandwich shop in Downtown Campbell that features a lot of unique combinations. It's quite pricey (~$10-13 per sandwich) but reasonable for the quality and types of ingredients they use. My absolute favorite sandwich is the Ono. A delicious stack of pork tenderloin, pork belly, sauteed bokchoy, pineapple garlic spread, pineapple sesame sauce, and sriracha between a soft sweet roll. They also have a large array of beers and sodas.

Oh...they also offer a breadcrumbed mac & cheese. Can we just stop and look at that cheese...

Ohhhh...my lanta...

What do you think of the spotlight eatery? I'd love to hear some feedback.

Ombre'd Grid & Muted Teal + SF outing!

Hello everyone!

This past saturday I went into the city to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday! It was a sunny but slightly chilly day in SF. So I put on a light patterned coat with a pair of dark teal skinny jeans to give the outfit some contrast. I paired the outfit with my strappy Steve Madden wedges that I recently picked up from TJ Maxx. They were incredibly comfortable & allowed me to do loads of walking.

Isn't my sister lovely? Everyone thinks we look alike...but we don't see it. We started the afternoon with a trip to the Disney Family Museum. It tells of Walt Disney's family, past, and the journey he took with animation. It was pretty amazing to see how it all started.

When then headed to dinner at a Korean restaurant in Japantown called Ssisso. We originally wanted to eat elsewhere but they didn't take reservations & we had no luck snagging a table. Ssisso surprised us all and turned out to be pretty good! I highly recommend the Mango Madness Soju Cocktail & Ssisso Wings. Delish.

Off to dessert we go! I stopped by Sift before joining the rest of the group at Mitchell's Ice Cream...I had to get my macaron fix. What can I say. :) My brother-in-law LOVES ice cream. I think you can tell by the picture below. ;D I recommend their Oreo Cookie Monster Shake. You definitely won't regret it...well maybe your waistline...but that's no biggie right? :P

Thanks for joining me today! I hope to see you on my next post! :)

Update: An Exchange of Hands

Hello Everyone,

Priscilla Ou here, & I have some important news to share. You might have noticed that the blog went under a revamping of sorts. After some serious discussion, Priscilla Chan & I have decided to "break-up." It was a bittersweet end to our partnership. We weighed our options and even thought about discontinuing this blog, but we felt that it would be too sad to abandon our blog and lose our readers. Both of us felt the weight of having two blogs along with having to deal with work/school. There simply wasn't enough time in the day to manage two blogs per person.

Therefore, the final decision was to have Priscilla Chan pursue her personal blog on Bauble-Head, while I take over P2Pstyle & fuse it with my food blog (Crackers&Brie). We will still be working together & collaborating on our individual blogs, so keep an eye out for that! (Btw, her blog will always be linked under my favorite blogs to provide easy access for you!)

Some things that you can look forward to for P2Pstyle: regular postings, more OOTDs, recipes, makeup reviews, my traveling adventures (big & small), & so much more!

I'm really truly honored to be continuing & having Priscilla Chan entrust me with P2Pstyle. I hope I do everyone proud. :)

Beauty Haul: Sephora & Review

Priscilla O. here! I recently had a package come in from Sephora & thought to share it with you guys! I had a bunch of V.I.B points too so I ordered some bonus samples as well. I'll simply mention a quick blurb of the products I've tried so far. :) They're all available for purchase at Sephora.com

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder [Diffused Light; $45]: Ambient lighting powders are very versatile. Each shade offers a different use. I use diffused light as a overall setting powder. It gives a natural finish & offers a soft focus effect. I pair it with my Hourglass Immaculate Liquid to Powder foundation and it works beautifully together. It does a decent job with keeping the T-zone oils at bay without giving off a super matte appearance.

Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss [Liar; $20]: The color of this lipgloss is a perfect "nude" for me. I'm not talking about exact skin-tone matching nude...but the nude that matches with your natural lip color. It lasts pretty long in the shine department & looks beautiful on top of the Lychee/Musk Bite Beauty Duos! They are a tad sticky, but not sticky enough to dislike. They also give off a sweet smell.

Bite Beauty Lipstick Duos [Lychee/Musk; Palomino/Violet; $12 Each]: Bite Beauty has been all the rage among the lipstick community. I think they live up to their hype. The formula is creamy, has full color pay-off, and feels comfortable. These duos are much smaller than their regular lipsticks [cheaper as well], and allow you to try a variety of colors without breaking the bank.

Dolce & Gabbana Passion Eyes Mascara [Sample; Full = $32]: I struggle so much with mascaras. I have an issue with basically every mascara smudging all over my lower lid...giving the raccoon eyes. When I try mascaras for the first time, I use it without my anti-smudging tricks...just to see how good they are. First of all, the brush is a slightly curved plastic bristle brush. I was iffy with the brush, but it did give me loads of volume. I liked how Passion Eyes made my lashes look, but I did encounter some lower lid smudging. But once I applied some extra powder under my eye, the smudging was minimized. I'm not sure if I would purchase this product.

Swatches [L -> R]: Lychee, Musk, Violet, Palomino, Naked Lipgloss in Liar, Diffused Light Powder

Light as a Feather

Hiya Folks,

The outfit I have for you today is all about dressing up casual looks without sacrificing comfort. So, I paired an adorable peplum top in an easy, sweatshirt material with super-stretchy moto-inspired jeans. Finding pieces that are comfortable and flexible, but still have fabulous shapes and details are valuable additions to the wardrobe. Note that piping and seaming can determine if a top flatters; details like stitching and extra zippers can add some interest to simple outfits. You can dress these up or down and look put together either way. I decided to go for a "drinks with the girls" vibe with my personal favorite red accessories: leopard wedges and a feather necklace. This necklace is a gem I found at one of my favorite stops in Hong Kong. Not gonna lie, it blows in the wind, so it doesn't always lie still. Other than that, though I love that it's a fun and spunky piece with pop against the neutral tones of the look.

Red Silk & Mixed Metals

Hi everyone!

I've always been the type of girl to stick with cool tone colors. I love my blues, teals, purples etc. I rarely wear yellows, oranges, and reds. But on some recent shopping trips, my eyes have been really drawn towards yellows and reds. Maybe it's due to years of gravitating towards the same colors? Who knows.

For this look, I wanted to be comfortable yet exude a bit of that "classic" feel. So I paired a gorgeous flowy red silk blouse that I recently picked up from Ann Taylor with black jeans and nude pumps. For a more put together look, you can totally tuck in the button-up and add a belt, but I was simply going out for a lunch and stroll about town with some friends, so I left it untucked.

Now let's talk a bit about this gorgeous chain necklace that is dual toned with silver and gold. The chain style necklace is quite common, but the mixed metals makes it unique. People always say not to mix gold and silver, but I'm starting to think that the rule shouldn't apply anymore. I love mixing gold and silver and this necklace exemplifies how it totally works.
